Framing in the raw

Prepping the blank slate. We picked up 2 of these window panes in California over the weekend. Each pane is18X54 inches. Lots of prep work to make these look good again, and become the base to create on.

The current vision is having them mounted side by side. The trunk of a tree split up the center of both opposing panes. Toward the top the branches will expand out to the far edges of the frames.

A simple opaque black trunk and branches, no leaves. A silhouette of sorts. With cobalt translucent glass as a sky background.

The project plan is 10 square feet of raw stain glass at about $15 a square foot for this project. Then there is paint, adhesive, sealer, and labor. We hope to post some project photos soon.
